1. I used to have a bob hair cut which was a very bad idea on my parents' behalf... I looked somewhat like a watermelon {thanks mum, thanks dad!}. As soon as I became aware of my power over my hair, I decided I wanted to grow it out, like a mermaid! It's taken me approximately 12 years to grow it to where it is today.
2. Once upon a time I used to collect stones, which I kept in a china heart-shaped jar with a giant Miss Piggy on top. My collection mainly consisted of gravel, pebbles I used to sneak from pots at garden stores and a single wishing stone.
3. I love rain. There isn't much rain where I live, so it's always exciting when it rains! It always makes me calm and relaxed. For some reason, it also makes me more productive with my time! And I love the feeling of being all snuggled up where rain can be heard pitter-pattering on the roof and outside.
4. Whenever I see a powerpoint with the switch on with nothing plugged in, I have to turn the switch off. I have no idea why, but it really irks me when I see it like that!
5. I love animals and really despise animal cruelty; it effects me really deeply {Happy Feet is the saddest movie I have ever seen}. Because of this, I can't handle going into pet stores where you can see the animals being sold...
6. When I was little, I used to go to a family friend's farm with all of my brother's friends. I have such fond memories of this place. It taught me all about bushland as we played epic hide and seek games on their land, I learned how to ride a motorbike there, and we used to spend most of the day picking olives and frolicking amongst the guinea fowl.
7. I love green tea. I have a mug of it every morning, and usually end up having at least 3 a day!
8. I almost drowned when I was little, on multiple occasions. One time I fell into a swimming pool, and luckily my cousin was in the vicinity because he dove in and saved me.
9. I've been in many car crashes, all were very terrifying experiences!
10. I've never had a boyfriend. There are a few reasons for this, but mostly I'm a very picky person!
11. I wish I could dance! I've always admired those who could do ballet or hip hop dancing. I did Irish dancing when I was little, instead of ballet {thanks again, parents...}, and attempted some hip hop later in life, but I have all the grace of a hippo on rollerblades so I decided to save myself some dignity and stop.
12. I would love to have a family someday (at least another 8 years or so!! Slooow down). I love the idea of having a lot of kids, and having a tight-knit family.
13. When I first meet people, I'm usually very shy. But once I become comfortable around you, I'm as crazy as a bed bug! Sometimes I can be instantly comfortable around you, but most of the time I have to work my way there.
14. When I'm hungry, you do not want to mess with me. Full Alix = Happy Alix!
15. I hate people invading my space and interfering with my routines {especially in the morning!}.
16. I love long road trips. I love popping on my music and just driving, sometimes to nowhere.
17. Once I was sent to bed without dinner, so I ate "fake" jellybeans that were glued to the top of a little basket I had... they tasted real, in my defence!
18. I really hate beetroot. Really hate it.
19. I have a terrible sense of direction! It's awful...
20. I have never had braces, but I do have flat feet.
21. I used to live in a house which I'm convinced was haunted. I have some very questionable memories from that place...
22. Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day. If I wake up more towards lunch time, I will still have breakfast. If I could have have breakfast for dinner, I would. In fact, I have! Porridge = favourite breakfast of all time.
23. In my entire family, I'm the only "creative" one. My dad was a Science teacher, my mum and my brother are tax accountants with my brother also now studying Engineering. I am very far from this type of brain they possess.
24. I was named after a French prostitute. I try not to ask too many questions.
25. I seemed to have been an ever-so-slightly aggressive 6 year old, after yelling at a clown (Bananas the Clown, who arrived in a van with a giant banana on top), after he got my favourite dress wet at my 6th birthday party. I also corrected the Principal in front of my entire primary school after he pronounced my last name wrong at an assembly where I was receiving a merit certificate.
There we are! 25 facts about me. I was inspired to do this post after seeing Zoe from Zoella doing this herself! I also decided to keep the idea of using webcam photos, because WHY NOT?
